Michael Knutson

For more than 30 years, Michael Knutson has studied and produced paintings made in the style of geometric abstraction. He is a member of the Blackfish Gallery in Portland and teaches at Reed College. Join Knutson for a conversation in the galleries about two 17th century landscape paintings: The Shrines of Itsukushima and Wakanoura by an unknown Japanese artist and Mercury and Herse by French painter Thomas Blanchet. Participants will depart from the Hoffman Entrance at 6 p.m. The conversation will continue in the Museum Café for happy hour until 8 p.m.

Free for members or with Museum admission.
