Sundays For Families: Film

Every Sunday in March, visitors of all ages can discover how to make moving images without the use of a camera (from 1 to 3 p.m.), take family tours of the galleries (at 12:30 p.m.), and listen to stories (from 2:30 to 3 p.m.).

Education programs provided in part by the Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation, Bank of America, Marie Lamfrom Foundation, and the Oregon Arts Commission.

Opening Lecture

Face to Face: Projections of Self and Society in the Printed Portrait

Considering the portrait print from about 1860 to the present, Curator of Prints and Drawings Annette Dixon, Ph.D., will discuss issues such as the portrayal of likeness and personality, the fashioning of the image as public or private, and the portrait as a vehicle of artistic expression.
