Discovery Center
The Discovery Center is a drop–in destination where curious minds, young and old, can enhance their gallery experience. Whether looking to do some light research or rest their feet while browsing books, Museum visitors can learn more about the art and artists represented in the Museum's special exhibitions and collections. Artwork from the Museum’s collections is displayed in cases and drawers, allowing visitors to explore art–related subjects such as materials, techniques, contexts, and cross-cultural themes.
In this relaxed environment, visitors can also discover how works of art are created, interpreted, and used in various cultures through books, exhibition catalogues, interactive computer programs, and online resources. Budding young artists can spark their creativity and explore art through children's books, building blocks, puzzles, online games, drawing, and Story Time, held every Sunday from 2:30 to 3 pm.
