APEX
Since 1892, the Museum has collected, exhibited, and celebrated art of the Northwest. Launched in 2006, APEX is a dynamic exhibition series that continues the Museum’s 117-year tradition of presenting contemporary work by artists living and working in the Northwest. APEX exhibitions are presented on the sky-lit top floor of the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Northwest Art. Exhibitions range in intentions and mediums from painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography, to video, installation, and sound. Previous APEX artists include Roy McMakin, Chris Johanson, Wes Mills, Ann Gale, Jenene Nagy, Marc Dombrosky, and MK Guth. The APEX series is supported in part by the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Endowments for Northwest Art and The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation.
