Public tours depart from the Park Avenue entrance at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, Sundays feature a family tour at 12:30 p.m. An evening tour is offered Thursdays at 6 p.m.

School Group Tours at the Portland Art Museum are free for K-12 students and $2.50 for college students, and available by reservation only. Tours of Museum collections and special exhibitions for kindergarten through college students are designed to meet the needs of different age groups, curricula, and interests.
Adult groups of 12 or more qualify for the $11 rate. Adult Group Tour reservations must be made two weeks in advance; full payment must be received ten days prior to visit. No refunds or exchanges. To make a reservation, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tours for the Visually Impaired
Free for members and aides; $3 Museum admission fee for non-members. Guide dogs are welcome.
The Portland Art Museum offers small, docent-led tours for visually impaired visitors on the third Thursday of each month at 2:30 p.m. The tours feature extended verbal descriptions of works in the Museum’s collection, and offer tactile examples when possible.
