Art & Conversation

September 15, 2016 @ 9:15 am – 11:15 am

Join us the third Thursday of every month for coffee and conversation followed by a lecture or film screening. This month, artist Arvie Smith will speak about his work, discussing pieces from his exhibition, APEX: Arvie Smith, currently on view at the Museum. After the talk, you are welcome to see the exhibition and explore the rest of the Museum.

NOTE: This month’s program will be entirely in the Grand Ballroom on the third floor of the Museum’s Mark Building, which is on the corner of SW Park Ave. at Main St.

Coffee at 9:15 a.m.; lecture at 10:15am. This series is free for adults 62 and over and is made possible through the Marguerite and Harry Kendall Education Fund. Additional support comes from Rick and Erika Miller.

The Portland Art Museum is pleased to offer accommodations to ensure that our programs are accessible and inclusive. All spaces for this program are accessible by wheelchair. Assistive listening devices are also available for lectures. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors. There are single-stall all-gender bathrooms available. Please ask staff for directions.

We will do our best to accommodate your needs when you arrive, however, we need 2-3 weeks advance notice for some specific requests. Please email requests to, or call 503-226-2811.
