Imani WindsTaking inspiration from the work featured in the Museum’s exhibitions of Jennifer Steinkamp and a retrospective on architect John Yeon, Chamber Music Northwest presents the Grammy nominated Imani Winds as part of its 2017 Summer Festival. With two member composers and a deep commitment to commissioning new work, Imani Winds enriches the traditional wind quintet repertoire while meaningfully bridging European, American, African and Latin American traditions.

Presented in conjunction with the special exhibitions of video work by Jennifer Steinkamp (on view July 8 – September 17, 2017) and the work of John Yeon (on view May 13 – September 3, 2017).

Accessibility

The Portland Art Museum is pleased to offer accommodations to ensure that our programs are accessible and inclusive. All spaces for this program are accessible by wheelchair. Assistive listening devices are also available for lectures. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors. There are single-stall all-gender bathrooms available.
