Miller Family Free Day

In celebration of Juneteenth, the national holiday commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, the Portland Art Museum invites our communities to a Miller Family Free Day on June 19. Programs include art-making, DJ sets, and special merch from local BIPOC artists with community partners-in-residence The Numberz FM; a new installation of powerful work by Ghana-born Portland artist Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe; a live dance installation by Portland choreographer and artist Takahiro Yamamoto; and exhibitions in our galleries including Sharita Towne & A Black Art Ecology of Portland and Isaka Shamsud-Din: Rock of Ages.
Free admission tickets can be reserved online beginning Wednesday, June 15. Tickets will be available for walk-in visitors on Sunday, June 19.

- Special Juneteenth merch from local BIPOC artists in the Numz Bodega — Bahia Honey (Natural Vegan Skincare), NXNE Brand (streetwear), Infamous Items (celebrity candles), Zero8one5, and a special collection from our featured Aux/Mute artist Christine Miller — floor 4, Noon

Annually, 1/3 of all visitors enjoy the Museum for free or receive admission at highly reduced prices.
Accessibility
The Portland Art Museum is pleased to offer accommodations to ensure that our programs are accessible and inclusive. All spaces for this program are accessible by wheelchair. Assistive listening devices are also available for lectures. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors. There are single-stall all-gender bathrooms available. Please ask staff for directions.
