Miller Family Free Day: Sunday, June 19

In celebration of Juneteenth, the national holiday commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States, the Portland Art Museum invites our communities to a Miller Family Free Day on June 19. Programs include art-making, DJ sets, and special merch from local BIPOC artists with community partners-in-residence The Numberz FM; a new installation of powerful work by Ghana-born Portland artist Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe; a live dance installation by Portland choreographer and artist Takahiro Yamamoto; and exhibitions in our galleries including Sharita Towne & A Black Art Ecology of Portland and Isaka Shamsud-Din: Rock of Ages.

Free admission tickets can be reserved online beginning Wednesday, June 15. Tickets will be available for walk-in visitors on Sunday, June 19.

Exhibitions & Programs:

Annually, 1/3 of all visitors enjoy the Museum for free or receive admission at highly reduced prices.

Since 2008, the Museum’s quarterly Miller Family Free Days have welcomed the community to visit for free and enjoy special exhibitions and programming.
Other options available year-round include free admission for children 17 and under, plus more here:
