Miller Family Free Day
In celebration of the special exhibition Native Fashion Now, the Portland Art Museum partners with Nike N7 to bring celebrated artist, designer, writer, and activist Bunky Echo-Hawk (Pawnee/Yakama) to create one of his eye-popping live art painting performances in the Museum courtyard.
Admission is free all day.
Additional events will include spoken word performances by The Sacred Poets of the Native American Youth & Family Center (NAYA) and a poetry + letterpress intervention with artists Demian Diné Yazhi’ (Diné) and Tracy Schlapp of Cumbersome Multiples. Artist Skye Tafoya will lead a community painting project after the Bunky Echo-Hawk performance.
Schedule of Special Events
12:30 – 1 p.m.: The Sacred Poets – NAYA Youth Poetry Crew Performance (Lanie Grimm, Talise Mendoza-Green, Paulina Gutierrez, Young Woodley).

Assistive listening devices are also available for lectures. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors. There are single-stall all-gender bathrooms available.
