Join Object Stories storytellers and distinguished guests as we celebrate the opening of our newest Object Stories exhibition – Powerful Self: LGBTQIAS2+ Lives Today. This well-timed exhibition is the culmination of a conversational workshop between newly acquainted intergenerational persons from within Pacific Northwest LGBTQIA2S+ communities. Powerful Self showcases their personal objects and stories of resilience and joy in their pursuit to live as their most authentic selves.

What does LGBTQIA2S+ mean?
LGBTQIA2S+ is an acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Two-Spirit, and the countless affirmative ways in which people choose to self-identify.

Special thanks to SMYRC (Sexual & Gender Minority Youth Resource Center), Emily Squires, and Paul Iarrobino for making this possible.
