Resurgency- A Poetry Reading
A poetry reading devoted to reclaiming colonized lands, identities, cultural (mis)representations, gender constructions, and lost connections to ancestry. Join Demian DinéYazhi’, Melissa Bennett, & Manuel Arturo Abreu as they transmit autonomy through the oral art of poetry in their ongoing quest for social and environmental justice. DinéYazhi’ is one of the artists featured in the current Center for Contemporary Native Art exhibition – Dene bāhī Naabaahii.
Learn more about the artists and share the event on Facebook.
The event is free with admission to the Museum, which is just $5 after 5pm every Friday.
