Paige Powell: The Ride
Still from The Ride, 2015, 3-channel color digital projection; 18:42 min., Image courtesy of the artist.

In 1980, Paige Powell, a fifth-generation Oregonian, left Portland for New York City. Camera in hand, she moved through the city, forming relationships with people and places that spanned across cultural and economic boundaries, photographing the city’s many realities. Join us for a lively conversation between Powell and the co-curator of The Ride, Director Brian Ferriso, to hear stories and reflections on some of the moments captured in the exhibition.
