Veteran Community CelebrationJoin us from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 23, for a celebration of summer! Stop in to make art, create connections, and to celebrate summer through music, tours, food, and fun.

We are also excited to celebrate the opening of this summer’s Combat Paper exhibition in the Object Stories gallery. This exhibition is the product of a June 2016 creative workshop with artist and military veteran Drew Cameron, at which a select number of local veterans had the opportunity to turn their decommissioned uniforms into handmade paper. This Combat Paper is a blend of many veterans’ uniforms, pulling together distinct military branches and spanning decades of individual service. The Object Stories gallery shares each veteran participant’s new creation from this Combat Paper, and details their personal reasons for serving in the military and undergoing this transformative experience.

Everyone is welcome and RSVPs are not required. We hope to see you here!

This event is free for veterans and service members and their friends and families.
