Celebrate the month of love with a gift that’s as personal as it is nostalgic! This workshop begins with DJ Ambush sharing more about the history and art of mixtapes, including their significance as a form of storytelling in the 80s and 90s, their resurgence in pop culture, and his own creative use of mixtapes as a DJ.
With DJ Ambush’s guidance, you’ll curate a playlist filled with songs that hold special meaning, crafting a musical message for someone you care about. You’ll leave with a finished “mixtape” saved as a digital playlist. We’ll transform that playlist onto a real cassette tape—a timeless gift packed with memories and love, ready for you to share with a special someone!
Participants will leave with a playlist on a vintage-inspired cassette tape-shaped 8 GB USB drive. Their playlist will be transferred onto a physical cassette tape and mailed to them within 4 weeks of the workshop.
