Object Stories: Artist Talks

Artist Talks: Celebrating 5 Years brings back to public view some of the inventive responses by which artists have made Artist Talks their own. Launched in 2009, Artist Talks is a monthly public program series that invites Portland-based artists from a range of disciplines to talk about one work of art from the Portland Art Museum’s permanent collection. The 68 Artist Talks have included visual and performing artists, critics, writers, musicians, and designers. Participating artists have sometimes performed poetry, choreographed a dance, and sewn garments in response to their chosen permanent collection object.
