Object Stories: Tech

The global rise in computer literacy and increased access to specialized tools and materials has generated a fashion and technology rebirth. Oregon designers and makers are mashing-up industrial equipment with traditional clothing and jewelry construction techniques to create wearables fit for the digital age. This Object Stories exhibition discusses the tools of this new trade and traces several influences upon the construction of these wearables through the work of local innovative youth, Makers, and a professional fashion designer.

Organized in conjunction with the special exhibition Italian Style: Fashion Since 1945, on view February 7 through May 3, 2015.
