Public Tours depart from the Park Avenue entrance at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday; 6 p.m. on Fridays; 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturdays; and 3 p.m. on Sundays. A Public Family Tour is offered on Sundays at 12:30 p.m.

School Group Tours at the Portland Art Museum are free for K-12 students and $2.50 for college students, and available by reservation only. Tours of Museum collections and special exhibitions for kindergarten through college students are designed to meet the needs of different age groups, curricula, and interests.
Adult groups of 12 or more qualify. The group rate for Museum admission is $16 per person. Adult Group Tour reservations must be made two weeks in advance; full payment must be received ten days prior to visit. No refunds or exchanges. To make a reservation, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Picture This: Tours for Visitors who are Blind or Partially-Sighted
Free for members and aides; $3 Museum admission fee for non-members. Guide dogs are welcome.
The Portland Art Museum offers small, docent-led tours for visitors who are blind or partially-sighted on the third Thursday of each month at from 1:30–3 p.m. (Please note there are no tours in August or December.) The tours feature extended verbal descriptions of works in the Museum’s collection, and offer tactile examples when possible.
