Professional development

Workshops and lectures support integrating the arts into your teaching across disciplines and grade levels. Programs are free of charge and offer Professional Development Units (PDUs). All educators are welcome, K-12 through college as well as independent and nonprofit-based.

PAM Educator Advisory

The PAM Educator Advisory collaborates with Museum staff to provide a platform for educators and students to connect, learn, and build community through art. We welcome educators across disciplines and grade levels (pre-kindergarten through college), including classroom teachers, administrators, teaching artists, and nonprofit partners. The Advisory holds four, in-person meetings each year, participates in PAM educator programs, and convenes occasional workgroups. Members serve for two years with the possibility of renewing for a second, two-year term. They receive complimentary Dual Memberships to the Museum in appreciation of their volunteer service.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2025 – 2027 term! Please complete this form by Friday, June 20 at 5:00 pm. Questions? Contact Hana Layson, Head of Youth and Educator Programs, at hana.layson@pam.org.

Educator membership discount

The Museum is proud to offer educators discounts on all membership levels from Individual through Patron Society: 15% discount for one year or 30% discount for two years. Available online only. Please use the discount code EDU15 or EDU30. Proof of educator status may be requested at entry.
