This summer’s Art and Conversation program dives into the exhibition Monet to Matisse: French Moderns with Lloyd DeWitt, the Portland Art Museum’s Richard and Janet Geary Curator of European & American Art Pre-1930. This curator’s talk looks at some of the history and central themes of the exhibition, which surface in works by Paul Cézanne, Marc Chagall and Edgar Degas, among others. Join us for an opening social hour of coffee and snacks from 10:15-11:15 AM, followed by a lecture with DeWitt from 11:15 AM-12:15 PM.

Refreshments are available on a first come, first served basis. This program is free and open to the general public and includes free Museum admissions with the reservation of a Free First Thursday ticket.

Art & Conversation is a quarterly program made possible through the Marguerite and Harry Kendall Education Fund. Additional support comes from Rick and Erika Miller.
