Ever wondered what it’s like to create art you can actually step inside? In this hands-on workshop, youth ages 11–14 will explore the world of virtual reality through art and storytelling. Guided by Rachel Bracker of Hungry Mantis—a professional 360°/VR filmmaker with over a decade of experience—participants will learn how to transform their ideas into interactive 3D worlds.
Using cutting-edge tools like the Scaniverse app for iPad and Open Brush on MetaQuest headsets, participants will:
- Become comfortable navigating VR headsets
- Experiment with 3D modeling in VR
- Scan real-world objects and bring them into digital environments
- Learn the basics of spatial storytelling and immersive media
- Create their own original VR artwork
