Ever wondered what it’s like to create art you can actually step inside? In this hands-on workshop, youth ages 11–14 will explore the world of virtual reality through art and storytelling. Guided by Rachel Bracker of Hungry Mantis—a professional 360°/VR filmmaker with over a decade of experience—participants will learn how to transform their ideas into interactive 3D worlds.

Using cutting-edge tools like the Scaniverse app for iPad and Open Brush on MetaQuest headsets, participants will:

  • Become comfortable navigating VR headsets
  • Experiment with 3D modeling in VR
  • Scan real-world objects and bring them into digital environments
  • Learn the basics of spatial storytelling and immersive media
  • Create their own original VR artwork

The workshop concludes with a showcase, where participants share their projects in a collaborative viewing session with family and friends. Perfect for curious creators, this program sparks imagination while building future-ready skills in one of today’s most exciting artistic frontiers.
