Join us for an exciting one-week summer workshop created for high school students to immerse themselves in the world of footwear design. Under the guidance of lead instructor Herbert Beauclere, shoe designer and co-founder of Sneaker Week PDX, students will learn introductory footwear design skills, including color design, pattern making, material exploration and construction techniques.

Guest experts Christopher Dixon, founder of CNSTNT:DVLPMNT, and Michael Nerlino, founder of Nerlino Bespoke will provide industry advice, an overview of the profession of shoe design, and help create an unforgettable experience for footwear forward youth. Students will explore the exhibition Future Now to get first hand inspiration from cutting edge sneakers. Students will fabricate a sample of their own original footwear design, and build skills in collaboration, public speaking, and design thinking. On the last day of the workshop, students will share their processes and unique creations with friends and family in an exhibition of their work. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to unleash your creativity and explore the art of footwear design!
