General Accessibility

Set your imagination free as we explore the art and science of designing miniature worlds. From discarded items to forgotten treasures, discover how to breathe new life into everyday objects while constructing your own microcosm. Campers will use iPads and the illustration design app Procreate to sketch the features of their miniature world.

We’ll delve into basic engineering concepts and architectural principles to ensure the stability and durability of our creations. Campers will explore the importance of scale, proportion, and balance in crafting successful designs and learn fundamental modeling techniques using a diverse range of materials. But our journey won’t stop at the physical construction!

Teaching Artist Teeny Conway will lead class discussions investigating intriguing topics such as neighborhoods, building engaged community members, and curating recycled materials. We’ll also incorporate storytelling elements into our tiny realms, and imagine the people and creatures who inhabit these miniature spaces. We’ll share our vision and tiny world with family and friends in an exhibition-extravaganza. Join us for an inspiring and imaginative exploration of community, creativity, and miniature world-building!
