Meet the pair behind Sneaker Week PDX! This artist talk highlights the work of Sneaker Week founders Herbert Beauclere and Megan Davis in making Sneaker Week an annual event. Taking place in the activations gallery of the Future Now exhibition, Beauclere and Davis will share more about their individual and collaborative work, alongside their partnership work between Sneaker Week and the Portland Art Museum. With a focus on supporting Portland’s thriving and unique sneaker culture while working across multiple partner organizations, this talk focuses on the possibilities that come from centering collaboration within design.

This program is included with a Museum general admissions ticket. We encourage early arrival, as seating is limited.

Introducing the Sneaker Week team: 

Herbert Beauclere,Co-Founder + CEO
Herbert Beauclere (Program Presenter), CEO and Co-Founder of Sneaker Week PDX, can be best described as an experiential marketer and educational disruptor. Early in his career as a marketing director, Herbert led several global outreach programs for the top 3 footwear brands. He is a dynamic force and wields an impressive track record of innovation and impact with every project he takes on. With expertise in DEI program development, brand marketing, and creative consulting, he has demonstrated a commitment to fostering inclusive environments and pushing boundaries within the industry. Beauclere’s multidimensional approach makes him a true visionary, driving forward progress and redefining standards in his field.

Megan Davis, Co-Founder + CMO/COO
Megan Davis (Program Presenter) is a brand strategist with a passion for crafting immersive brand experiences and fostering meaningful connections. Specializing in strategic brand management, international business delegation, and civic engagement, Megan is dedicated to driving brand awareness and building both B2B and B2C relationships through thoughtful, meaningful, and authentic acts of community activation. Her expertise lies in creating impactful experiences that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression, making her a trusted partner for businesses seeking to elevate their brand presence and deepening their connection with the community.

Deanna (Dee) Smith, Program Director + CFO
Deanna Smith is a powerhouse project manager with a proven track record of spearheading multi-million dollar projects from inception to successful execution. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for refining operations, she specializes in strategic planning, budget forecasting, and start-up development. As the CFO & Program Director at SneakerWeekPDX, Founder of The 35th Foundation 501(c)3, and proprietor of her own mentoring business, PMG, Deanna is deeply committed to driving both business growth and community impact. Her diverse career spans across IT, automotive retail, utilities, for-profit education, and non-profits, showcasing her versatility and adaptability in various industries. Outside of her professional endeavors, Deanna thrives on coordinating engaging events for community-focused organizations, always seeking opportunities to connect with new individuals and organizations to create meaningful change.
