Explore the art of storytelling through flowers in this hands-on floral arranging workshop inspired by the rich visuals and moods of the museum’s collection. Channeling the lush, romantic aesthetic of Sofia Coppola’s film Marie Antoinette, we’ll explore how flowers—like artworks—can tell layered, expressive stories.

We’ll begin with a guided gallery walk to spark inspiration, then dive into arranging with all the tools, tips, and flowers you need to make your own decadent floral still life. No experience necessary—just a love of art, flowers, and imagination.

Led by Portland-based creative Bianca Sparta of Colibri, a floral studio known for its wild, eclectic designs, this workshop invites you to experiment with a curated selection of vibrant, unusual seasonal blooms. Whether your style leans soft and moody or bold and chaotic, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind arrangement that responds to the textures, colors, and drama found in the museum’s galleries.

All supplies provided, session will begin at Portland Art Museum. Participants will leave with a vase, their floral arrangement, and the skills to create more!
