Library
The PAM Library is currently closed to the public as we prepare for a future renovation that will better support research, care, and access. For more information, please contact the Development Office at 503-276-4365.
Archives
The PAM Archives are temporarily closed to the public while the collection is carefully surveyed, organized, and formally accessioned—important steps in ensuring long-term stewardship and accessibility. The estimated completion date is November 2027.
Library
The PAM Library contains the following non-circulating collections that the public, museum visitors, and researchers are welcome to use:
- The PAM curator’s collection of books with a focus on artists the Museum has in its collection, as well as Northwest artists and general fine art resource materials.
- PAM exhibition catalogues and books.
- A collection of artist files containing ephemera from the careers of artists that the Museum has in its collection. The public are welcome to contribute materials to these files.
- A collection of artist files containing ephemera from the careers of NW artists, specifically those who have shown their works in galleries in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, British Columbia, and Alaska. The public are welcome to contribute materials to these files.
The PAM Library also contains a used art bookstore.
