Gifts of $5,000 or more are eligible to be paid in annual installments of up to 5 years. By making a multi-year pledge, you’re not just supporting a building project; you’re investing in the future of our community.

You can use a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) to distribute gifts to the Portland Art Museum’s Connection Campaign.

Contact your DAF provider or use the “Make a Gift From My DAF” tool to recommend a grant. We will acknowledge your generous gift as a DAF distribution.

If you are 70½ or older, you can use your IRA to make a gift to the campaign. We will acknowledge your generous gift as a qualified charitable distribution, which may satisfy your required minimum distribution. Contact your IRA custodian or use the “Make a Gift From My IRA” tool to make a gift.

Benefits of an IRA Charitable Rollover include: 

• Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $105,000 from your IRA to our organization
• May satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
• Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
• Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
• Help further the work and mission of our organization

Making a gift of securities or mutual funds offers you the chance to support the Portland Art Museum while realizing important benefits for yourself. By donating appreciated stock, you may:

• Claim a charitable deduction equal to the stock’s fair market value on the day you give it away.
• Avoid paying capital gains tax
