On November 5, 2014, Brian Ferriso, the Director and Chief Curator of the Portland Art Museum, sat down with Life Trustee, arts advocate, and philanthropist, Arlene Schnitzer to discuss her life as it related to the exhibition, In Passionate Pursuit: The Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Collection and Legacy. One reason we are releasing this episode is that Arlene talks in great detail about her experiences with Robert Colescott, whose exhibition Art and Race Matters: The Career of Robert Colescott is currently on view, though only through online experiences, as we are currently closed in response to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

It also brings us great sadness that Arlene passed away on April 4th. Hearing Arlene tell the stories from her life has never felt more appropriate or inspiring.
