Free First Thursday

Overview

Join us as we kick off Women’s History Month by uplifting and highlighting women artists throughout the Museum. Enjoy free admission and a curated afternoon of community, creativity, and conversation.

Event Highlights:

• Live Music (4 – 6:30 p.m.): Groove to a set by DJ Sappho on the 3rd Floor Overlook, specifically curated to celebrate women’s voices.
• Open Studio (Finley Studio): All ages are welcome to create watercolor art or enjoy coloring pages featuring women artists from our collection.
• Look With Me (4 – 6 p.m.): Join volunteer facilitators in the galleries for deep-dive discussions on artworks by women in our Native American and Printmaking collections.

Free First Thursday tickets can be reserved online one week in advance and are also available at the door. Tickets to Free First Thursday programs at the Tomorrow Theater are available online.

Free First Thursdays at the Museum and PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater aligns with the revitalization of the long-standing Portland art galleries’ tradition of opening their doors for openings, receptions, and events on the first Thursday of each month. In recent months art and culture organizations have joined to bring back this popular activity, including the Pacific Northwest College of Art and the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education in the North Park Blocks.
