Portland bottle shop favorite John’s Marketplace is bringing their Pourtlandia Project to the Museum for a summertime beer garden featuring a custom-brewed beer from Gigantic Brewing. Proceeds from pours of the Zest for Art Lemon Lager benefit the Portland Art Museum! July 2 is also a Free First Thursday, so stick around and enjoy the galleries for free!
Can’t make it to this event? Look for the custom cans at John’s Marketplace featuring artwork inspired by sunny yellow colors in the collection. Can you find the artworks in the lemon collage?
Portland has always been a city of communities. Independent. Creative. Passionate.
But in recent years, those communities have drifted. Neighborhoods became islands.
Scenes became silos. Generations stopped crossing paths the way they used to. At John’s Marketplace, we see it every day, and we believe something important has been lost.
The Pourtlandia Project is our response. Each collaboration is designed to bring together people who might not otherwise share a table: A legend with a newcomer. An institution with a disruptor. A familiar voice with a new perspective. Not to agree. Not to replicate the past. But to reconnect the threads that made Portland a city worth believing in.
