The Getaway
Overview
Take a trip, no luggage required. Join PAM CUT @ The Whitsell Auditorium for THE GETAWAY mini-series and vacation without ever leaving the museum. THE GETAWAY series will feature films inspired by departure; these national and international films and filmmakers take us on journeys otherwise untold. This March, travel through Tokyo in Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation, then pull on a baseball cap and roam the wide-open roads of Paris, Texas with Harry Dean Stanton. Drift into the quiet existential landscapes of Iran in Taste of Cherry, before exploring the everyday wonders of the French countryside with Agnès Varda in Faces Places. Finally, cross borders and hearts through Argentina by way of Hong Kong with Wong Kar-wai’s Happy Together.
